Traveling - Competitive State League, Not A Mandatory Play League

TYFA Participants must be fully committed to travel & attend practices

TYFA has D1 (32 orgs in 2024) and D2 (40 orgs in 2024) leagues based on size and organizational win pct. CTX Chiefs will be D1. D1 Organizations are located between Killeen, Austin & San Antonio.

• TYFA Certification in early August and Schedule released in Mid-August. Once an athlete certifies with TYFA CTX Chiefs, they are not allowed to participate in any other league during the season.
• TYFA Certification provides athlete health insurance (covered in registration fee)
• Reg Season starts in September ends 2^nd week of December
• Reg Season games played between Killeen and San Antonio (4 home and 4 away)
• Statewide Playoffs must qualify with .500 or better record, age groups may play in different locations between Killeen and San Antonio on the same day.
• TYFA Academic Excellence Awards provide scholarships for top student-athletes

• Central Texas National AAU Affiliated League , Not A Mandatory Play League

TXAAUFL participants must attend practices, playing time is earned at practice

TXAAUYFL has 18-22 organizations divided into two conferences between Austin, Killeen, and Waco.

• TXAAYYFL Certification in early August and schedule released in mid-August. Once an athlete certifies with TXAAUYYFL CTX Chiefs, they are not allowed to participate in any other league during the season.
• National AAU Annual Membership provides athlete health insurance & covers all AAU sports/events for the year (covered in registration fee)
• Reg Season starts last week in August and ends November 23 – 24. 4 home & 4 away games
• TXAAUYFL Playoffs top 6 teams in each age group, consolation events for non-playoff teams. Playoffs played at local facilities, top seeds host first round. Various Post-Season Tournaments and All Star Game.
• TXAAUYFL Academic award for one male/female athlete from each organization.

NOTICE:  Fees Must Be Paid In Full Before Any Equipment or Uniforms Issued.

If an athlete quits or leaves the organization for any reason prior to uniform issue, they will only be given their jersey and nothing else.  All equipment issued must be returned in good condition prior to receiving their jersey. Failure to return equipment will result in forfeiture of any awards and participation holds being placed with TYFA and TXAAUYFL.
