On June 15, 2022, Jonathan “Johnny” Helsham, passed away from a rare heart condition at the young age of 14. He was known as a person of integrity, kindness, respect, and compassion. Johnny loved football. He started playing football with the CTX Chiefs at the age of six until he aged out at twelve years old. Johnny also had a love for service and volunteered with the City of Harker Heights Teen Court Program with dreams of pursuing a career in law. The JH94 Foundation was created in 2022 in memory of Johnny Helsham. The Foundation encourages the pursuit of education and self-improvement by awarding $1,000 scholarships to high-achieving high school seniors in the Central Texas area with financial need seeking to attend any accredited two-year or four-year university, college, or technical school.
